How are you?

A friend sent me a book as a christmas gift: . I started reading it yesterday. the book tell you a bible story everyday. today's story is about the relationship between David and Jonathan. "Develop, protect, and nurture your relationships each day, everyday and specially today." this the ending sentence touched me. I feel so sorry to myself. I took friendship of other for granted, and I was so lazy to develop and protect it. So I decided to write to each of my friends just to say "how are you, I appreciate your friendship and it 's lucky to be your friend."

吃药

小时生病不愿吃药，哭着闹着。但是药还是要吃，母亲将药片捣碎，拌上糖。

现在想来，那便是生活中的一课：生活如药，吃不吃不由你；怎么吃？我们可以选择。

有人尝过啤酒说，真难喝！像药一样。是我们自己的选择：生活可以像喝啤酒一样惬意。

周日早餐

用40分钟，小火煨一锅小米稀饭。一块麻油腐乳，一碟涪临榨菜。
隔夜的馒头切片，淋上水，色拉油，薄盐。烤箱中铐的酥黄。
配上流传很久的民歌，是惬意的早餐。


快乐并不昂贵，但是需要用心寻找。且让今早的阳光赶走昨晚的噩梦；此时此刻只是用心享用着早餐。
快乐的时候会有微笑，微笑的时候会想起你。

晒太阳的蛇，风水及其它

正是春暖花开季节，生机茁茁。早上工休散步，向阳山坡上，发现了条晒太阳的蛇。

蛇很细小，像是不知深浅出来玩耍的儿童。俺打趣道，这蛇父，蛇母也不来照顾子女。同伴一旁厌恶地说，蛇是从来不对后代尽责的。

想想也是，世人喜欢蛇的人不多。或许不全是因为它诱惑夏娃吃了智慧果的原因，喜欢阴暗潮湿，以及生卵后置之不顾的生活习性，都会令人厌恶。

说起来人之聪明，还应该拜谢蛇才是。更何况社会愈加发达，我们的习性越发接近蛇：多多的快乐，享受；少少的义务，责任。但愿进化到最后，人类不要落得个贴地爬行的下场。

朋友说，有人说他的风水不好，门前一棵大树，状似铁锤，需要买对石狮子镇压。俺半是挖苦问，这一周来可有效果。

朋友兴奋的说，果然有效：邻人一辆破旧卡车总是停在他家门前，自从石狮子坐着，那车乖乖地停回自家门口了！
俺洒笑道，你那一公一母石狮子，四只眼，铜铃样大，瞪着谁，谁都不自在。

这世上的事，有不同的解释。也无所谓谁对谁错，只要能自圆其说。或许这就是为什么这世上这么多学问，说法。

把耳朵竖起来，认真听听别人怎么说。不要先戴上墨镜看人：风水也能当真？ 或许别人的道理，真的能有些启发？

What you ride decide how far you can go

30 years ago, I lived in a small village. Every week day I walked 3 miles to go to school in the other side of the hill. 3 miles to me at that time was a quite a journey.

10 years ago, I lived in a big city. Everyday I rode bike to work. By bike, I could maneuver myself around city.

5 years ago, I bought a car. I can easily drive to San Francisco up north, or down to south for San Diego's silver beach.

By different ride, give you different experience. Using different leverage help you to lift different weight. Standing at a different height give you totally different vision.

A Bug Report

I email popped up from my lotus notes, it reads:

I found a bug in the code, please verify it:

Two minutes later, a coworker responded:

Fixed it!

Conferrence Call

I had my first conference call yesterday!

So? big deal? you might ask.

Actually it is a big deal to me. 6 year ago, when I first arrived at Simi Valley, the most scaring thing at the office was to answer a phone: Think about it: at a remote city, a remote environment talking with stronger in a strong language about a unfamiliar business....

Now 6 years passed, I know I 've been making a slow progress. Till yesterday, hosting a conference call all by myself, that is like milestone! I told myself that I had got to mark this date.
